Tai Chi is a 2,000 year old martial art developed in China. It focuses on the movement and flow, postural alignment, and relaxation of the body. By releasing tension, quieting the mind, and breathing helps support movements and focus on slow steady circular movements.
Tai Chi is known as “meditation of movement”. It can be done standing or seated. This class focuses on your own ability and what your body can do by increasing strength, flexibility, and balance.
Our Tai Chi class will be taught by Deborah Windsand a retired registered nurse. After 40 years of nursing she decided to enter the world of teaching Tai Chi. Deborah is certified teacher of Tai Chi Authorities in seated Tai Chi and fall prevention. She is excited to share her knowledge and expertise of Tai Chi with those who wish to learn.
